Ladies Who L-EARN empowers young unemployed women with the confidence, networks and experiences needed to lead financially independent, happy lives.
Ladies Who L-EARN runs a 6 month long programme to empower young, marginalised unemployed women, largely from BAME backgrounds, with the confidence, networks, skills and experiences needed to break out of poverty into financially independent lives which reflect greater integration with the social and cultural life of their city. We take a holistic approach which is reflected in the programme content which includes inspirational and creative group learning, 1-1 mentoring, and real earning experiences such as work placements and creative start-up projects. Our programme includes support for women to self-reflect on their values, back stories and attributes, encouraging them to use this knowledge to create a meaningful vision of their future.
